Kichaka Simba Primary School Strategic Plan 2019-2023
Kenya | 2019
Project Overview
Kichaka Simba Primary School sought to establish a comprehensive five-year strategic plan to strengthen institutional governance, improve academic performance, enhance infrastructure development, mobilize stakeholder support, and provide a long-term roadmap for sustainable school growth. The assignment was undertaken in partnership with the Kichaka Simba Old Students Association (KOSA) and school leadership.
Business Challenge
The school lacked a formal strategic planning framework to guide decision-making, resource mobilization, infrastructure expansion, academic improvement, and stakeholder engagement. Without a documented strategy, long-term planning and coordinated implementation of development priorities were difficult.
Our Approach
The consultancy adopted a participatory strategic planning methodology involving document review, stakeholder consultations, a facilitated planning workshop, SWOT analysis, stakeholder analysis, environmental assessment, and collaborative development of strategic objectives and implementation priorities.
Solution Delivered
Developed a comprehensive Strategic Plan (2019ΓÇô2023) outlining the school's vision, mission, strategic themes, objectives, implementation framework, monitoring indicators, and resource mobilization strategy. The consultancy also facilitated the official launch of the strategic plan.
Results & Impact
The strategic plan provided the school with a structured roadmap for institutional development, strengthened governance, enhanced stakeholder ownership, improved prioritization of development projects, and established a framework for monitoring institutional performance and continuous improvement.
